Weichai Truck Engines Make New Breakthroughs

www.chinatrucks.com: On November, 2, Weichai held its 2016 Engine Product & Technology Seminar. Themed with “Striving for International Excellence”, the seminar presented a whole new spectrum of products and technologies, catching wide-spread attention from the public.

 

Weichai’s 5,000th WP3 Engine Rolls out to the Market

 
Weichai WP13 high horse power engine has further optimized the configuration with the overall layout of trucks. Weichai B10 diesel engine boasts a life expectancy of 1.5 million km and a power range of 480Ps-550Ps. The rotation speed of the engine was increased to 950 rounds per minute. In addition, the torque range of the engine was made wider and the fuel economy was further strengthened.

 
To meet the power needs in the field of heavy-duty vehicles, Weichai has been making constant efforts to widen its product spectrum. In the meantime, it has rolled out a series of engine products for light-duty vehicles. Along with its technological advances, the engine maker has further upgraded its engine products for light-duty trucks. On the back of its rich resources for R&D on a global basis, Weichai has developed 2-4L light-duty engine series products, including WP2.1, WP3, WP3.7, WP4.1, Ra425, Ra428, etc., all of which can meet National IV and National V Emission Standards and boast a power range of 61Ps-160Ps.
 

With its unique design concept for high horse power engines, it has also developed low rotational speed and large torque powertrain, reaching high fuel efficiency. Weichai Rui Power adopts Common Rail + SCR technology, which can easily adapt to light trucks, light buses and pickups.
