Weichai Awarded the Second Prize of National Prize for Progress in T&S

www.chinatrucks.com: The National Awards Conference for science and Technology was held in the Great Hall of the People on January, 8, 2016. The projects The Key Technology and Application of Diesel Engine Low Noise Design in which Weichai Power attended was awarded the second prize of National Prize for Progress in Technology and Science.

This project was undertook by 3 units including Tianjin University and Weichai Power, etc.. It puts forward the composite vibration damping consisted of torsional vibration damper and frequency modulation vibration damper. It uses the re-circulation of exhausted gas to control the transient combustion noise of diesel engine. The using of the suspension system including the distribution characteristics of integral mode, quality and inertness of power assembly, the structural improvement design, and the computational model of internal combustion engine exhaust particulate filter insertion loss effectively reduce the transient combustion noise and structural vibration noise of the diesel engine.
   

The Key Technology and Industrialization of Heavy-duty High-speed Diesel Engine put forward by Weichai Power was awarded the second prize of National Prize for Progress in Technology and Science in 2013.
