XCMG Releases Five-Year Development Plan for New Energy Commercial Vehicle
After gaining government permit to produce new energy vehicles, XCMG has rolled out NXG5081XXYBEV electric logistic vehicle and electric compression-type garbage truck, both of which have been listed among China’s New Energy Model Vehicles and New Energy Vehicle Catalog Exempt from Vehicle Purchase Tax.

Recently, XCMG announced that it has secured a deal from a customer in Jiangsu province, marking a new milestone for its new energy commercial vehicle business.
Statistics show that China’s production and sales volume of new energy vehicles reached 794,000 units and 777,000 units respectively in 2017, up by 53.8% and 53.3% year on year, showing a robust growing momentum and demonstrating the a huge market potential. To grasp the great opportunity, XCMG has mapped out a detailed blueprint for its business expansion, aiming to diversify its current product line and strengthen its overall competitiveness in the market.
Currently, XCMG is investing heavily in new energy vehicles for transporting frozen products, new energy power supply vehicles, new energy heavy-duty trucks and new energy high-altitude work vehicles, etc.
Within the next five years, XCMG aims to increase its annual production volume of various new energy commercial vehicles to 10,000 units and annual sales income to three billion RMB. (www.chinatrucks.com)
