Yuchai Reached Consensus with Vietnam THACO on Strategic Cooperation

On August 9, Yan Ping, President of Yuchai Engine, paid a special visit to Truong Hai Auto Corp (THACO), the largest auto maker in Vietnam.

During the visit, Mr. Yan held talks with Chen Boyang, President of THACO on new product development and new energy vehicle development. The two companies also signed a memorandum for strategic cooperation.

Having set up cooperative ties for a few years, the two parties have already shown deep mutual trust. In the coming years, they will carry out extensive cooperation in such areas as truck building, bus building, agricultural machinery manufacturing and new energy vehicle manufacturing.

On January 1 this year, Vietnam started implementing Euro IV Emission Standards. Yuchai became China’s first engine maker which gained market access to Vietnam. Statistics show that over 70% of trucks exported to Vietnam from January to July this year were equipped with Yuchai engines.

In 1997, Yuchai established its first office in Vietnam. Since then, it has maintained a fast growming momentum in the country, enjoying continuous rising popularity among local customers. (www.chinatrucks.com)
