Tan Xuguang: Shandong Heavy Industry to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation with ZF

In the afternoon of 23rd April, Peter Lehr, member of the board of directors of ZF Group and president of the Commercial Vehicles Division, visited Shandong Heavy Industry Group.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on AMT, new energy electric drive axle, high-end boat power, intelligent driving and other new technologies, and reach an agreement on all-round strategic cooperation.

Tan Xuguang said that ZF was its main strategic supplier, and that it is very nice of ZF to come by, like an old friend. Last year, SINOTRUK ranked first in the sales of heavy-duty trucks in China and saw significant growth in high-end marine engines. We are happy to work with ZF to open the incremental market, to better prepare ourselves for global competition, and to work together to move towards our goal of being a world-class manufacturing company.

Peter Lyle said SINOTRUK’s Jinan Laiwu green digital manufacturing base sets a new benchmark for the industry. I left an impressive expression on it. Since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement last year, the cooperation between the two sides has reached a new height.

We will set up a special working team to deepen multi-sectoral strategic cooperation with Shandong Heavy Industry, collaborate on research and development of advanced technologies, and jointly process the challenges on issues about new markets, new energy and new technologies.

Before the meeting, Peter Lyle and his entourage visited China National Heavy Duty Truck (CNHTC) Laiwu showroom and Intelligent Network Connected (new energy) Heavy Truck Factory.
