JAC's Global Sales of Pickup Trucks Reached 5,562 Units in May
According to the latest sales data, JAC's global sales of pickup trucks reached 5,562 units in May, up 23.8% year-on-year and 24.5% month-on-month. Despite challenges in the domestic market, international markets saw significant growth both year-on-year and month-on-month. From January to May this year, the cumulative global sales of JAC pickup trucks amounted to 23,800 units, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, showing an overall positive recovery trend.
It is also worth mentioning that on May 10th, JAC Pickup 2024 Hunter Shanmao, as the only pickup truck model, participated in the activity " Salute to the National Gate by Chinese Vehicles ", which was jointly initiated by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and CCTV.com. The vehicle traveled to Alashankou Port to make positive contribution to the development of Chinese brands and demonstrated its commitment through practical actions.
On May 21st, JAC Pickup Trucks celebrated the production milestone of their 300,000th vehicle rolling off the assembly line. It took JAC 13 years to produce their first 200,000 vehicles, but with favorable policy changes, economic recovery, and accelerated exports, they achieved the next 100,000 vehicles in less than 2 years.

Internationally, with pickups accounting for 45% of the total exports in May this year, it's evident that overseas markets are becoming a crucial pillar for the pickup truck industry. JAC Pickup Trucks have expanded their export reach to over 132 countries and regions, spanning Latin America, the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe, and Southeast Asia. In early May, the T9 model made its debut in Mexico, following its successful entry into the Australian market in March. Mid-May saw a significant delivery of JAC Pickup Trucks to the national grid of Kyrgyzstan, with the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan attending the vehicle handover ceremony. In late May, the opening ceremony of JAC showroom and the launching ceremony of T8 PRO automatic pickup truck were held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This event marks JAC’s significant milestone in achieving comprehensive coverage across the three major urban areas in Saudi Arabia.

Currently, JAC Pickup Trucks boasts two main sub-brand series: the "T Series" and the "Hunter" series, which include models such as JAC T6, JAC T8/T8 PRO, and JAC Hunter. These series encompass various models tailored for different scenarios including passenger versions, off-road editions, coastal versions, and cold climate variants. In the future, JAC will launch NEV pickup products that are intelligent and close to the level of passenger cars to meet the needs of the global market.
