JAC Hydrogen Heavy Truck Push for Green Hydrogen Development in Anhui
On August 14, JAC Heavy Trucks and Tomorrow Hydrogen Company officially delivered the A5X 4X2 hydrogen-powered heavy truck to China Post and the tobacco company. This is the first hydrogen truck in Anhui Province, marking a significant step for the industry and zero-emission logistics.
The "Three-Year Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry in Anhui Province" was introduced at the end of 2023. The plan aims to commercialize hydrogen energy by 2025, make Anhui a major hydrogen industry hub with a total industrial output value exceeding 50 billion yuan, promote over 2,000 fuel cell vehicles, and operate more than 10 hydrogen-powered ships.
JAC Group is embracing this trend by innovating and aligning with the national "dual carbon" strategy. They’ve partnered with Tomorrow Hydrogen to launch the 18-ton Gallop A5X hydrogen fuel cell logistics truck.
This truck, developed on JAC’s established platform, features a 115kW high-performance fuel cell system and four 320-liter hydrogen tanks. It can reach speeds up to 89 km/h and has a range of over 500 kilometers. Advantages include fast refueling, low noise, low hydrogen consumption, and high reliability, achieving "zero emissions" and "zero fuel consumption."
The Gallop A5X addresses issues such as range, long refueling time, environmental adaptability, and lifecycle costs, meeting current green logistics needs and advancing China’s hydrogen industry.
JAC Heavy Trucks has completed its hydrogen energy product lineup and established a comprehensive hydrogen commercial vehicle industry chain with partners. In the future, JAC Heavy Trucks plans to introduce more high-quality hydrogen-powered heavy trucks to offer better green transportation solutions.
