IAA 2024: Dongfeng to Unveil New Models and Cutting-Edge Technology
In September 2024, the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024, one of the most significant events in the global transport and logistics industry, will kick off. Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd(hereafter referred to as DFAC) will showcase several key models, including the Dongfeng E-STAR V9 and Dongfeng E-STAR T, along with groundbreaking innovations in electrification, intelligence, and connectivity.
Dongfeng E-STAR V9: Setting New Standards for Electric Commercial Vehicles
The Dongfeng E-STAR V9, as a flagship model to be shown at Dongfeng’s booth, will showcase the company’s leading-edge technology and forward-looking vision in electric commercial vehicles. It features a dedicated electric platform, an integrated electric drive axle and control system, a liquid cooling system, and a hydraulic braking system. The vehicle is equipped with a Huichuan permanent magnet synchronous motor, offering a maximum power of 115kW and peak torque of 350N·m. The Dongfeng E-STAR V9 offers three battery options: 77kWh, 89kWh, and 100kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries. Among these, the 100kWh battery model provides a range of up to 550km under constant speed. Additionally, it also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% in just 0.6 hours, addressing concerns about long-distance travel. The sleek design improves aerodynamics and efficiency, while the spacious interior with an 11.9m³ cargo area and efficient load-bearing design make it well-suited for a variety of transportation needs. The E-STAR V9 also includes a 12-inch LCD instrument panel and a 10.36-inch touchscreen, offering a range of smart features for easier driving. With thoughtful design details, such as a full-height tailgate and wide openings, it enhances loading and unloading efficiency. The V9's battery pack has an IP68 protection rating and comes with multiple active safety technologies to ensure a safe and worry-free driving experience.
Dongfeng E-STAR T: Compact Yet Powerful, Ideal for Urban Logistics
The Dongfeng E-STAR T is a standout model designed for urban logistics and short-distance transport, offering flexibility, efficiency, and environmental benefits. Its compact size allows it to navigate narrow city streets easily, boosting transportation efficiency. Notable features include a large cargo capacity of up to 16m³, a 3-ton rear axle, and a 140 manganese steel truck frame, ensuring strong load-bearing capabilities. The lightweight design allows it to handle steep inclines of ≥20% efficiently. With a full charge, the E-STAR T can travel 260km, meeting long-distance transport needs. It charges to 80% in just 0.6 hours, greatly reducing downtime. Equipped with a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery and a Huichuan permanent magnet synchronous motor, the E-STAR T is highly reliable and has an IP68 protection rating to withstand various weather conditions. Its smart connectivity features allow real-time vehicle monitoring and route optimization, making it an ideal choice for green urban logistics.
Dongfeng has gained increasing trust from international partners and customers, with orders growing over 180% year-on-year for three consecutive years. This growth reflects Dongfeng’s technological strength and commitment to advancing the global commercial vehicle industry towards low-carbon, electric, and intelligent solutions. Dongfeng will persist in its commitment to open collaboration and innovation, aiming to lead the global commercial vehicle industry towards a greener and smarter future.
In addition to these two models, Dongfeng will also reveal two more mystery vehicles at the show. If you want to see Dongfeng’s latest lineup and experience their cutting-edge technology up close, visit their booth at D52 in Hall 19-20 from September 17 to 22, 2024. Don’t miss out!
