SuperPanther Teams up with DHL for Sustainable Logistics
On September 16, 2024, at the IAA Transportation Global Commercial Vehicle Exhibition in Hanover, SuperPanther and DHL Group signed a strategic cooperation memorandum to advance sustainable logistics. This collaboration will focus on developing innovative logistics solutions and ecosystems. The memorandum was signed by Mr. Andreas Muendel, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operation Programs at DHL Group, and Ciao Liu, Founder and CEO of SuperPanther.
SuperPanther is a technology-driven company specializing in new energy medium and heavy-duty truck technologies. It has developed a next-generation electric truck skateboard chassis platform, offering world-class zero-carbon transportation solutions. Since its founding in 2022, SuperPanther has prioritized technological innovation in electric heavy-duty trucks and global expansion. The company is set to begin mass production of its electric heavy-duty truck platform in Europe by the end of 2025, addressing the growing demand for zero-carbon logistics.

DHL Group, a global leader in logistics and supply chain services, operates an extensive transportation network across various industries. As a pioneer in promoting emission-reduced transportation, DHL provides numerous customers with green solutions, including e-vehicle delivery and sustainable aviation fuel. The company aims to achieve net-zero GHG emissions in logistics by 2050.

Dr. Michael Ruf, President of SuperPanther's European Market, stated, "Green and sustainable logistics is an essential trend in our industry. SuperPanther’s technology and energy replenishment ecosystem, developed with partners, will greatly support DHL Group's zero GHG emissions goals and further promote the localization and global adoption of electric trucks in Europe."
Mr. Andreas Muendel from DHL Group remarked, “Global logistics is at a pivotal turning point in the transition to new energy. SuperPanther's innovative technologies and its strategic role in overseas business were key factors in our partnership decision. DHL has been supporting SuperPanther’s logistics in Asia for years. This collaboration is mutually beneficial, as both parties share a common vision for advancing sustainable development in global logistics. We aim to expand this successful cooperation worldwide.”

As part of this strategic alliance, both parties will promote the development of electric truck transportation and infrastructure for a greener, more sustainable future. SuperPanther will leverage its innovative electric truck technologies to help DHL Group and its partners create a more efficient and cost-effective electrified operational model, accelerating DHL's progress in sustainable logistics and its net-zero carbon objectives.
DHL will utilize its extensive logistics experience and resources to collaborate with SuperPanther on research and innovation for low-carbon and zero-carbon transportation models. The two companies will engage in integrated cooperation in areas such as vehicle specifications, procurement, operational optimization, energy replenishment facilities, and supply chain optimization, all aimed at better serving global customers and strengthening their leadership in sustainable development.
