JAC Brand Officially Launched in Malaysia
JAC Motors recently held a successful brand launch event in Malaysia, marking its official entry into this new market. At the event, JAC introduced the T9 fuel-powered pickup truck and China’s first four-wheel-drive electric pickup, the T9EV. The lineup also included fuel-powered light trucks and electric light trucks like the I40, I75, and I90, all of which received high praise from guests and media alike.
During the event, JAC handed over the first batch of electric light trucks to local customers. Additionally, JAC signed partnership agreements with a local strategic partner and eight potential dealerships, further boosting the confidence of partners, dealers, and major clients, while enhancing JAC’s brand presence in the region.
To support long-term plans in Malaysia and the ASEAN region, JAC has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Malaysia to localize operations. Going forward, JAC will follow a strategy of "parallel development of commercial and passenger vehicles, both fuel and electric," with a focus on new brands, products, technology, and manufacturing. This approach aims to offer Malaysian customers more choices and to drive the growth of new energy vehicles in the country, contributing to Malaysia’s carbon neutrality goals.

A Malaysian official noted that JAC’s presence will help establish Malaysia as a regional hub for vehicle manufacturing and export, creating more local job opportunities for skilled workers.
The launch event was covered by over 30 leading media outlets, including China Press, The Star, Paul Tan, and Autoworld, drawing significant attention and sparking discussions across Malaysia’s industry and market. This marks a new chapter for JAC Motors’ growth in Malaysia.
