XCMG Was Invited to Malaysia-China Industry Leaders Roundtable Meeting
On November 5th, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim attended the opening ceremony at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. On the afternoon of November 6th, Prime Minister Anwar held a roundtable meeting with leaders from prominent companies to discuss the future of trade between China and Malaysia. XCMG, as the only representative from the construction machinery industry, was invited to participate.
2024 marks the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations and the "Year of China-Malaysia Friendship." The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, providing a platform for face-to-face exchanges, enhancing business understanding, and promoting project collaboration for mutual benefit.
During the meeting, XCMG Vice President Liu Jiansen conveyed greetings from Chairman Yang Dongsheng to Prime Minister Anwar and shared details of XCMG’s international strategy and its operations in Malaysia.

Malaysia has been one of XCMG's earliest overseas markets. After more than 30 years of development, XCMG has grown its brand recognition and market share significantly, with many of its products being top-sellers in the local market. XCMG's equipment has played an important role in major infrastructure projects, such as the construction of Kuantan Port, the East Coast Rail Link, and Kuala Lumpur’s municipal transportation.
Prime Minister Anwar expressed his appreciation for XCMG's contributions to Malaysia's development and showed strong interest in the company's large cranes, fire fighting, and drainage equipment. He also expressed his hope for XCMG to continue expanding its investment in Malaysia, further boosting bilateral trade and economic exchanges, and contributing to the ongoing development of China-Malaysia relations.
