Weichai's Global Expansion: Strong Performance and Growing in 2024
At the 2025 Global Partner Conference, Weichai shared impressive data showing its engines have now surpassed 6.5 million units globally, with over 1.2 million of those in international markets, highlighting its strong global presence. On December 10, customers and partners from nearly 40 countries and regions, including the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, gathered to review past progress, deepen collaborations, and plan for future growth.

Rising Brand Influence
This year marks the third time that Singaporean buyer Li Mingyu has attended Weichai's Global Partner Conference. He praised Weichai's products, noting their excellent quality, reasonable prices, and faster production times compared to other international brands. After visiting Weichai’s production facilities and R&D centers, he gained a new perspective on Chinese manufacturing.

A representative from Egypt also expressed that Weichai’s overall strength, investment value, and brand impact have earned widespread market recognition. Their technology and products have provided significant growth momentum for partners.
Steady Growth in 2024, Outstanding Achievements
Despite facing pressures from a decline in domestic demand and slower international momentum, Weichai has continued to grow steadily. In 2024, engine sales increased by 7.7% year-on-year, and its market share reached 28.2%, with heavy-duty truck engine market share at 40% and gas-powered heavy-duty truck engines over 60%. Weichai also made breakthroughs in high-end markets, with a 42% market share for 500 horsepower and above tractors, and maintaining over 80% market share in loaders and wide-body dump trucks. In the energy and power sector, Weichai ranks among the top three globally.
Rapid Growth in Overseas Markets
Weichai’s overseas export volume and revenue are expected to grow by 8% and 13% year-on-year in 2024. Notably, export revenues in high-end markets like Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia have surged nearly sixfold. Currently, Weichai has established over 40 product platforms and more than 120 product series, covering commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural equipment, energy, and marine equipment. Its heavy-duty power systems, energy power systems, and medium-speed marine engines are among the leaders in global sales, especially in energy and marine power sectors, which are becoming key drivers of Weichai’s overseas success.

As the global economy slowly recovers, particularly in regions like the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia, Weichai is well-prepared to seize future opportunities. With a comprehensive product strategy and a dual-driven approach focusing on energy power and marine engines, Weichai aims to expand its global influence and tackle new challenges.
