FAW Jiefang Strengthens Global Reach with a Focus on Uzbekistan
FAW Jiefang achieved impressive growth in its global operations in 2024, highlighted by record-breaking overseas sales of over 60,000 units. Despite challenging market conditions, the company’s overall vehicle sales grew by 7.4%, maintaining its leadership in China’s heavy and medium-duty truck segment.

New energy vehicle sales doubled for the second consecutive year, with FAW Jiefang leading in nine market segments. These achievements showcase the company’s resilience and strong performance throughout the year.
Key Achievements in Uzbekistan:
New Truck Factory in Andijan:
FAW Jiefang is investing $100 million to build a state-of-the-art truck manufacturing facility in the Andijan region’s "Silk Road" Free Economic Zone. Set to begin construction in November, the factory will have an annual production capacity of up to 10,000 trucks. This facility marks a major step in FAW Jiefang's commitment to deepening its presence in Central Asia.

Partnerships and Early Success:
Collaboration with local companies such as UzAuto Trailer and Vodiy Universal Majmua began in 2023, laying the foundation for truck assembly in Uzbekistan. The partnership also introduced clean energy electric trucks, supported by an initial investment of $15 million.
Clean Energy Commitments:
FAW Jiefang’s investment aligns with Uzbekistan's growing emphasis on sustainable industrial practices. By integrating clean energy solutions into its product lineup, the company is positioning itself as a leader in eco-friendly commercial vehicles in the region.
Strategic Location:
At the global partner conference, Jiefang unveiled its's "SPRINT2030" global strategy, outlining its goals and implementation plan. He announced that by 2030, FAW Jiefang aims to achieve global sales of over 500,000 units, with overseas sales reaching 180,000 units, accounting for 36% of the total.
Uzbekistan’s central location within the "Silk Road" region offers FAW Jiefang access to a broader Central Asian market, enabling the company to establish Andijan as a key hub for regional logistics and production.
With these initiatives, FAW Jiefang continues to expand its influence globally, leveraging its expertise in truck manufacturing and aligning with international trends in clean energy and regional collaboration. This combination of record-breaking sales and strategic investment highlights the company's role as a key player in China's Belt and Road Initiative and a leader in global commercial vehicle markets.
