CIMC Light Tower Delivers 1,600 Fence Semi-Trailers to Nigeria
In 2025, CIMC Light Tower successfully delivered 1,600 fence semi-trailers to customers in Nigeria. The order was part of a key project under the “Infrastructure + Industry” cooperation framework between China and Nigeria. It also supports Nigeria’s “Eight Priority Areas” development strategy.
This delivery is not only a major business win for the company but also shows how China’s “dual circulation” strategy aligns with Africa’s free trade goals. By providing vehicles designed for local road and transport needs, CIMC Light Tower is helping Nigeria ease logistics bottlenecks, improve infrastructure efficiency, and support industrial growth and regional integration.
Technology and Local Adaptation: The trailers feature modular design, reinforced main beams, and high-strength steel, increasing load capacity by 20%. A multifunctional fence system meets different transport needs and helps customers cut operating costs by more than 10%.
At the production level, CIMC Light Tower uses advanced robotic welding with arc-tracking technology to improve precision. For durability, the trailers use KTL coating and powder spraying instead of traditional paint, ensuring stronger protection against corrosion and harsh African conditions.
Full-Service Support: Before delivery, the vehicles underwent heavy-load testing at a national test site, simulating 300,000 km of real-world use.
In February, the trailers arrived at Lagos Port. To ensure smooth handover, CIMC Light Tower sent three technicians to provide on-site support and assist with assembly. After delivery, the company also offered customized training on trailer operation and maintenance, covering braking systems, electrical and air circuits, axles, and tires. A local service station was set up to provide after-sales support together with Nigerian technicians.
The delivery of 1,600 trailers marks a shift in China-Nigeria cooperation from simple product trade to deeper collaboration in “technology, standards, and services.” CIMC Light Tower plans to use Nigeria as a hub to expand smart logistics solutions across Africa and contribute to the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Dr. Shu Lei, CEO of CIMC Light Tower Semi-Trailer Business Group, Feng Xiang, President of Overseas Marketing and Services, Vice President Hu Xiaojun, Wang Zhiping, General Manager of West Africa Marketing, and Liu Junli, General Manager of Nigeria Marketing.
