Weichai Granted AEO Status by Chinese Customs
Shandong – 6 Jan. 2026/Chinatrucks.org/ –Weichai Import & Export Co., Ltd. has been granted Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification by Weifang Customs, reaffirming the company’s compliance and management standards in international trade operations.
The certification follows Weichai’s initial approval in 2017 and reflects its successful re-evaluation under updated requirements. According to the company, the renewed status is expected to support its overseas business by improving customs clearance efficiency.
The AEO program, promoted by the World Customs Organization, is designed to enhance trade security while facilitating cross-border commerce. Companies certified under the scheme are recognized for strong compliance records, credit standing and security management. AEO-certified firms are eligible for preferential measures such as priority customs clearance, reduced inspections and faster cargo release.

Weichai is a major Chinese manufacturer of industrial and powertrain equipment with a long-standing international presence. The company has emphasized regulatory compliance as part of its global expansion strategy and has built stable import and export operations across multiple markets.
The renewed AEO certification signals continued recognition by customs authorities of Weichai’s trade management capabilities. The company said it plans to further standardize its import and export processes while expanding its international footprint, in line with China’s broader efforts to promote cross-border trade and economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
