SANY Showcases Equipment and Green Solutions at FACIM 2026 in Mozambique

The 61st Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM 2026) opened in Mozambique on August 31, bringing together companies from Mozambique and the wider Southern African market.

This year's event is themed “Digital and Energy Transition Towards a Sustainable Economy.” FACIM is an important trade and business platform connecting Mozambique with markets across Southern Africa.

SANY Group Chairman Xiang Wenbo, Microgrid Business Chairman Guo Ruiguang, and Africa Region Chairman Xu Pengfei attended the event.

SANY brought several products to the show, including the SAC3000T8-8 crane, SY215C excavator, SCP30C6EV electric forklift, and SW956E electric wheel loader.

The products cover key applications such as lifting, earthmoving and material handling. They also show SANY's latest equipment and green solutions for customers in Southern Africa.

16 Years in the Mozambique Market

SANY entered the Mozambique market in 2010 and has now been operating in the country for 16 years.

The company has established service locations in Maputo, Tete, Beira and Pemba. It has also continued to improve its local sales, spare parts and service network.

Over the past 16 years, SANY equipment has been used in a number of major projects in Mozambique, including the Maputo–Katembe Bridge, EN6 highway, Port of Beira and local mining projects.

These projects have made SANY equipment part of Mozambique's infrastructure development.

During FACIM 2026, Mozambican President Daniel Chapo and Wang Junshou, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, visited the SANY booth.

Xiang Wenbo introduced SANY's business development in Africa and its localization efforts in Mozambique.

At the China (Hunan)–Mozambique Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference, Xiang said SANY will use its strengths in equipment manufacturing and new energy to develop solutions for green mining, integrated solar-plus-storage systems and microgrids in Mozambique.

The company aims to support the country's sustainable development through these solutions.

At the meeting, Xu Pengfei represented SANY Group in signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Jinan Yuxiao and other customers. The cooperation will cover mining equipment, green energy and microgrid projects.

SANY also held meetings with local government representatives and major customers during the event to discuss further cooperation.

Looking ahead, SANY said it will continue to develop its business in Africa, provide high-quality products and local services, and work with local partners to expand cooperation and support closer economic and trade ties between China and Mozambique.
