Hansteel Lnk to Make Auto Steel for Great Wall Motor
(chinatrucks.com, Nov. 27, 2009)It is reported that Hansteel under Heibei Steel Group has signed with Great Wall Motor in the same province to make automobile steel products for the later. The steelmaker will be responsible for improving quality of the products, like drawing and welding properties, coating and surface texture.
Hansteel has targeted high grade steel production as early as it established the new factory. It is able to make 80% of automobile steels and its wheels have been shipped to the world market.
With an asset of CNY 10.7 billion, Great Wall Motor is situated in Baoding and can each year make 400,000 whole automobiles offer itself some core parts like engine and transmission. The cooperation is the first time for Hansteel to work with a privately owned manufacturer.
