Great Wall Motor tops domestic sales in pickups

(chinatrucks.com, Jan.11, 2010)Due to the Chinese government's incentives last year and sales promotions, Great Wall Motor sold 9,068 pickups in December 2009 a surge of 200 percent, helping it maintain the No. 1 position in domestic pickup truck sales.
The automaker's pickup sales hit a record of monthly sales in Chinese pickups.
Great Wall Motor sold 71,000 pickups last year, accounting for a 28 percent market share. The company has been leading in pickup sales in China for 12 years since 1998.
In 2009, 255,800 pickups were sold in China, including 28,855 units sold in December.
