Great Wall recalls partial Fengjun pickup
(chinatrucks.com, May 5, 2010) It is learned by reporter that Great Wall Shares Company Limited has submitted recall report to National Quality and Inspection Bureau according to the requirements of “Recall management regulation of default vehicles”. Partial Fengjun pickup (light van) produced between April 2, 2009 and August 30, 2009 shall be recalled from May 1, 2010, and the recall volume is 5867.
The recalled vehicles could not well braked because of the insufficient strength of dental plate press, and when it stops at the slope, the braking system could not guarantee the lock condition and the braking power is to be weakened. Great Wall Auto Shares Company Limited is to change the braking system for free for the recalled vehicles in order to eliminate the potential safety hazard.
The designated service station is to inform the related vehicle owner by telephone, text message, and letter and the like. The owner may go to the nearest service station for inspection. At the same time, hot line of the recall activity, 400-666-1990, has been opened. Customers could log on the website of Management Center of National Quality Inspection Bureau for Default Products and China Auto Recall website for specific information of this recall activity.
