Cummins Accelera Deployed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Tractor
On July 24, 2024, Cummins' China Parts Distribution Center hosted a landmark deployment ceremony. Following the Second Shanghai Zero Carbon Expo, Cummins partnered with Shanghai Yanghai Logistics to launch a Cummins Accelera hydrogen fuel cell-powered tractor, marking a new chapter in green logistics at the distribution center. This center serves not only as a crucial hub for Cummins' global parts distribution in China but also as one of Cummins' four global core distribution centers.
Developed jointly by Cummins Accelera and Shaanxi Auto Dechuang, this customized tractor will operate in Shanghai for logistics transport. It features the Accelera HD150 hydrogen fuel cell system, integrating a "410kW motor + automatic transmission + drive axle" powertrain, achieving zero emissions while enhancing vehicle power and efficiency. With optimized energy management, the tractor boasts a range of 350km-500km on a full load.
Gu Xuequn, Director of Cummins' New Energy Power Business Unit, commented, "The successful deployment of the HD150 hydrogen fuel cell tractor demonstrates hydrogen's immense potential and opportunities in green logistics supply chains. Through innovation, we collaborate with Yanghai Logistics to build a cleaner and more efficient logistics ecosystem, providing comprehensive service support and aiming to partner with more logistics enterprises to realize zero-carbon commitments."
Confident in the partnership, Wu Guangting, General Manager of Shanghai Yanghai Logistics, stated, "Our collaboration with Cummins marks the first step in advancing our green logistics strategy. We plan to launch five hydrogen-powered vehicles by August and gradually build a scalable fleet, supporting sustainable development for our partners."

This deployment ceremony not only showcases Cummins Accelera's technological innovation but also signifies a significant milestone in Cummins' supply chain transformation. Cheng Xiangan, General Manager of Cummins Smart Supply Chain (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Cummins China Supply Chain Logistics Director, affirmed, "This ceremony underscores Cummins' commitment to supply chain transformation and green transport development. We will strengthen cooperation with governments, industry partners, and research institutions to promote the innovative application of hydrogen energy technology and jointly build a green supply chain."
Cummins is committed to promoting green and low-carbon initiatives in upstream and downstream resource selection. This event represents the first step in Cummins' supply chain green transformation, with future initiatives focusing on process optimization, technological innovation, and business resource integration to support industry partners in achieving green transformation.
This deployment ceremony is not only a showcase of technology but also a crucial step towards realizing a green supply chain, impacting the sustainable development of the entire logistics industry.
