3500km Challenge: LANDKING EH 156 kWh Platform E-Truck Break Range Limits
To address concerns about the range, climbing ability, and load capacity of electric trucks, WEICHAI Group's LANDKING EH series 156 kWh platform electric truck undertook an extreme performance test. The truck, loaded with 245 sandbags (each weighing 33 kg), started its journey from the famous "72 Turns" winding mountain road in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, China. Along the way, it faced a 2,000-meter altitude difference and traveled 3,500 kilometers across cities in Southwest China, including Luzhou, Kunming, Ganzi, and Ya'an, as well as cities in Northwest China, such as Gannan and Baiyin, before successfully reaching Yan'an in Shaanxi Province. This showcased not only the vehicle's exceptional range and climbing capabilities but also highlighted LANDKING as a new brand under WEICHAI Group, utilizing the group's robust R&D expertise and global supply chain to drive the light truck market toward premium development.

Powerful Performance: Effortlessly Tackling Challenging Terrain
From the very start, the LANDKING EH series 156kWh platform electric truck faced the daunting "72 Turns" in Zunyi—a mountain road with steep slopes of up to 20° and numerous sharp curves. Equipped with the optional Yida integrated flat-wire motor delivering 160 kW of power and 400 N·m of torque, truck loaded with 245 sandbags (each weighing 33 kg) handled the treacherous route with ease.

Outstanding Range: Effortless Long-Distance Travel
The LANDKING EH series 156kWh platform electric truck set a new record for the range of electric light trucks during its 3,500-kilometer challenge. Even when fully loaded, the truck demonstrated exceptional energy efficiency. Equipped with WEICHAI’s Blade Battery, utilizing CTP technology and high-energy-density blade cells, the truck offers a range of 520 kilometers. During testing, the truck can travel 1.98 kilometers for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed, outperforming other electric light trucks in its class. Additionally, the truck features an adjustable coasting energy recovery system, allowing users to optimize energy use based on road conditions, further extending the driving range. When the battery is low, the 600V fast-charging system can charge it from 20% to 80% in just 37 minutes, completely eliminating range anxiety. The EH series also provides multiple battery options, including 81 kWh, 96 kWh, 100 kWh and 132 kWh to suit different transport needs.

Safety Braking: Confidently Tacking Long Descents
The route crossed diverse terrains, including the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Sichuan Basin, and Loess Plateau, with a 2,000-meter altitude difference, placing heavy demands on the braking system. To ensure safety during long downhill stretches, the LANDKING truck is equipped with an air brake system and wedge brakes.

The LANDKING EH series 156 kWh platform electric truck successfully completed this extreme challenge, showcasing its exceptional technological capabilities and highlighting the advanced level of China's new energy commercial vehicles.
