WEICHAI NECV Hosts 2026 Tech Innovation Conference in Weifang, China
On December 26, 2025, WEICHAI New Energy Commercial Vehicle (hereinafter referred to as WEICHAI NECV) held its 2026 Technology Innovation Conference in Weifang, China, unveiling new powertrain technologies and vehicle models as China’s new energy commercial vehicle market shifts toward demand-driven growth.
The company said it will continue to focus on independent research and development and maintain control over key technologies, with innovation positioned as the core driver of its long-term strategy.
At the event, WEICHAI NECV showcased its latest advances in electrification and application-specific vehicle solutions, while also reporting strong business momentum in 2025. Sales of new energy light trucks recorded sharp growth during the year, supporting broader gains in market presence and brand recognition.
A highlight of the conference was the launch of two new powertrain platforms based on WEICHAI’s proprietary “Golden Powertrain System,” alongside four new models from the LANDKING X7 series. The new lineup includes an LNG-powered model, a 75 kWh hybrid version, a 200 kWh high-roof model, and a 190-horsepower extended cab variant, designed to meet the needs of different transport applications.

The vehicles are built on WEICHAI’s “Stellar Super Electric Power Platform,” a dedicated new energy light truck platform that integrates the company’s in-house electric systems with components from global suppliers such as Bosch and HanDe Axle. The company said the platform aims to improve operating efficiency and reliability in logistics operations.

WEICHAI NECV also emphasized its scenario-based product strategy, noting that its vehicle lineup is designed for specific use cases including urban delivery, heavy-load transport, cold-chain logistics and construction operations.

During the conference, WEICHAI Group executives highlighted the company’s expanding international footprint, with overseas business doubling in 2025. The group said it is shifting from a focus on product exports to broader value creation, aligned with industry trends toward greener and more global development.
Looking ahead, WEICHAI NECV said it will continue to invest in technology innovation and customer-oriented solutions, as it seeks to support the transition toward cleaner and more efficient commercial transportation.
