Victory Auto Launches the Camel Mini Trucks in Saudi Arabia
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — on May 5, Chinese automaker Victory Auto unveiled its new Camel diesel mini truck at a launch event in Riyadh, marking the company's official entry into the Saudi Arabian market.
Held at the Vittori Palace Hotel, the event drew company executives, overseas business leaders, local distributors, and media representatives. The Camel model has been specifically designed to meet the region’s unique demands, with a focus on heat resistance, durability, and compliance with GCC regulations.
Victory Auto, which began its overseas expansion in 2014, said its success has been driven by a commitment to high-quality manufacturing. The Camel mini truck is produced at its smart facility in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, and incorporates international technologies such as Germany’s DURR paint systems and robotic welding lines.
In addition to product performance, the company emphasized localized support. It has built a comprehensive sales and service network across Saudi Arabia, offering 24/7 spare parts supply and rapid repair services to meet local expectations for reliability and customer service.
Speaking at the event, Li Xin, Head of Overseas Business, introduced the company’s “12345 Global Strategy,” a roadmap for expanding in key regions including South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and parts of Europe. The strategy includes energy-efficient technologies, enhanced product and service standards, and a long-term vision of exporting Chinese technical standards rather than just products.
Victory Auto also announced the creation of a global customer service and technical support center, aimed at improving communication with international partners and clients.
The launch is part of a broader push by Chinese automakers to expand their footprint in the Middle East, where demand for commercial vehicles continues to grow.
