WEICHAI NECV Launches LANDKING X7 Electric Light Truck, Expands Global Reach
Weichai New Energy Commercial Vehicle (WEICHAI NECV) unveiled its new LANDKING X7 electric light truck on July 3 at its New Energy Power Industrial Park in Yantai, Shandong Province. Equipped with WEICHAI Group’s self-developed Stellar E-Gold Power System, the vehicle features enhancements in range, power, safety and comfort, and is aimed at improving efficiency in urban delivery and intercity transport.

The LANDKING X7 is powered by the Stellar E-Gold Power System, which integrates WEICHAI’s in-house battery, electric drive and control technologies. Developed in collaboration with Bosch, Inovance and HanDe, the system delivers strong performance, quick response and lower energy consumption. Battery options range from 56 kWh to 200 kWh, with the top model equipped with a 200 kWh WEICHAI FinDreams 2C blade battery, offering a range exceeding 650 kilometers per charge. The system supports 2C fast charging, reaching 80% capacity from 20% in just 18 minutes.

To meet diverse market requirements, the LANDKING X7 offers various battery, motor, and axle configurations, covering urban delivery, intercity logistics, and heavy-duty mountain transport. User feedback highlights its power responsiveness, driving comfort, and cost efficiency, with electricity costs averaging about $3 per 100 kilometers.

WEICHAI NECV has accelerated its global expansion, leveraging WEICHAI Group’s service network across more than 150 countries. The LANDKING series is already in use in Belt and Road countries including the Philippines, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Cambodia. In the Philippines, the trucks are deployed in green urban logistics operations, while in Ecuador, they have become a preferred choice for government and commercial buyers. Export volume increased 41% year-on-year in the first half of 2025, surpassing total exports for all of 2024.

The LANDKING X7 launch supports WEICHAI NECV’s integrated export strategy, which combines vehicles, core electric components and after-sales services. The truck is equipped with features such as intelligent remote monitoring, over-the-air software updates, AI-based risk management and localized service networks, positioning it as a complete solution for new energy logistics.

Looking ahead, WEICHAI NECV plans to expand its presence in key overseas markets, including South America, North America, Southeast Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The company said it will focus on technology leadership, local adaptation and global collaboration to support the global transition to low-carbon, high-efficiency logistics and strengthen its position as a Chinese new energy commercial vehicle brand.
