FPT Industrial Conducts Technical Training for Asia-Pacific Dealers in Shanghai
SHANGHAI (chinatrucks.org) — FPT Industrial hosted a five-day technical training program for its Asia-Pacific dealers from July 28 to Aug. 1 at its training center in Shanghai, aiming to strengthen product knowledge and technical capabilities across the region.

Dealers from Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand attended the event in person, while participants from India joined remotely. The training included sessions on product features, engine operation, maintenance practices and digital tools designed to support sales and after-sales services.

Lan Wang, vice president of FPT Industrial for Asia and Oceania, addressed the opening session, highlighting the strategic importance of local dealer networks in the region’s diverse and growing markets.
The first day focused on an introduction to FPT’s product portfolio and guided dealers through digital platforms, including access to technical documents, configuration systems, order tracking, and spare parts tools. Engine fundamentals and emission control technologies were also reviewed, with application-specific guidance for power generation, marine and industrial uses.

In the following days, instructors provided in-depth technical instruction on core engine models. Hands-on demonstrations using actual engine components allowed participants to better understand mechanical systems, improve troubleshooting skills and apply best practices in maintenance.

FPT Industrial said the training was part of its ongoing effort to support its regional partners and ensure consistent product performance in the field. The initiative is also intended to enhance cooperation with dealers in Asia and Oceania as the company expands its presence in the region.

A subsidiary of Iveco Group, FPT Industrial develops and manufactures low-emission powertrains for industrial, marine and power generation applications. The company regularly invests in dealer training as part of its commitment to delivering efficient and reliable solutions to global customers.
