Chinese Ambassador to South Africa Visits SANY Industrial Park
On January 15, Wu Peng, Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, visited the SANY Industrial Park, accompanied by Counsellor Liu Yu and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises operating in the country. The visit focused on production safety, regulatory compliance, and stronger coordination among Chinese businesses in South Africa.
The delegation was received by Zhang Liang, Chairman of SANY South Africa Region, and Zhang Liang, General Manager of SANY South Africa, who briefed the visitors on the company’s local operations and development.
During the discussions, Ambassador Wu praised SANY for its long-term investment in South Africa and its progress in localization. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high safety standards, operating in compliance with local laws and regulations, and contributing to local economic and social development. Both sides agreed that closer communication and cooperation among Chinese enterprises would help promote sustainable growth and safeguard the overall reputation and shared interests of Chinese companies in South Africa.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured SANY’s excavator assembly line and modern office facilities. They commended the company’s manufacturing capabilities, quality management system, and efficient localized production. The visit was seen as a step toward strengthening government–enterprise engagement and supporting the long-term, stable development of SANY and other Chinese-funded enterprises in the country.
