Skywell Partners Berjaya to Promote NEVs in Malaysia
May 31, 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Malaysia is the first country to establish diplomatic ties with China after the establishment of ASEAN, and is also a key strategic partner in China's Belt and Road Initiative. In 2013, China and Malaysia established a comprehensive strategic partnership. In 2023, the two countries announced the joint construction of a China-Malaysia community with a shared future. Over the past 50 years, the two countries have achieved remarkable results in economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges, energy and infrastructure cooperation.
Mr. Huang Hongsheng, the founder of Skyworth Group and Skywell Group, was invited to attend the reception for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, where he gathered with political and business celebrities from both countries to celebrate this important historical moment.
Skywell Group and Berjaya Group signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation to establish an innovation alliance in smart technology and new energy vehicles.
On June 18, Skywell Group and Berjaya Corporation Bhd (BCorp)signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to improve life experience, promote green energy solutions, and develop a new energy vehicle ecosystem in the region. The launch of two important strategic alliances aims to explore and promote innovation and expansion in key industries in Malaysia and ASEAN.
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun shared, "The strategic cooperation with Skyworth and Skywell Group heralds the prospect of change, which is expected to revolutionize various industries in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. By integrating our collective expertise and leveraging regional advantages, we are at the forefront of driving innovation, promoting sustainable development, and illuminating the path to a more prosperous future for the entire region."

Huang Hongsheng, the founder of Skyworth Group and Skywell Group, said, " Through our mutual and sincere cooperation, we are committed to strengthening talent development and localized industry chains. This initiative aims to cultivate new productivity and serve as a hallmark project in China-Malaysia economic and trade cooperation."
Pursuing win-win cooperation in carbon neutrality and promoting the development of green energy
Through this cooperation, the two parties will jointly research and develop new energy vehicle technology to promote the wide application of green energy. Skyworth Automobile will leverage Berjaya Group's market resources and brand influence in Malaysia to further expand its market share in Southeast Asia.

Looking ahead, the cooperation between Skyworth Automobile and Malaysia's Berjaya Group will continue to deepen, fully utilizing their respective advantages and resources to jointly promote the popularization and application of new energy vehicles in Malaysia. The two parties will carry out more cooperation in the research and development, production, and sales marketing of new energy vehicles, jointly explore the Malaysian and Southeast Asian markets, and explore more possibilities in the field of new energy vehicles.
