BYD Launches Electric Commercial Vehicles in the UAE
On February 26, BYD, in partnership with Al-Futtaim, officially introduced its electric commercial vehicles to the UAE market. The launch event took place at the InterContinental Hotel in DIFC, Dubai, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives to witness BYD’s entry into the region.

The lineup includes four all-electric commercial vehicles, covering light and medium-duty trucks as well as an electric bus. Designed for urban delivery, long-haul transport, and public transit, all models are equipped with BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology, offering fast charging and extended range to provide a safe, intelligent, and eco-friendly transportation solution.
Vehicle lineup:
ETM6 Electric Truck: 3.6-ton payload, long wheelbase, 126 kWh battery, optimized for urban logistics.
T5 Light-Duty Truck: 4-ton payload, 132 kWh battery, built for flexible and efficient deliveries.
ETH8 Medium-Duty Truck: 10-ton payload, 255 kWh battery, designed for heavy-duty commercial transport.
B12 Electric Bus: 12-meter city bus, 425 kWh battery, up to 550 km range, providing zero-emission public transportation.
