BYD SHARK Makes a Big Splash at Bolivia's Expo Auto 2025
BYD has officially launched its new electric pickup truck, the BYD SHARK, at Expo Auto 2025 in Bolivia. This innovative vehicle, featuring the advanced DMO Super Hybrid Off-Road Platform and intelligent technology, quickly became one of the biggest highlights of the show, drawing attention from media, industry experts, and consumers.

The BYD SHARK is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid pickup, offering an impressive 840 km total driving range. Designed for both city commuting and off-road adventures, it combines power, efficiency, and eco-friendliness. Thanks to its DMO platform and intelligent all-wheel-drive system, the SHARK delivers excellent performance even on rough terrain, providing Bolivian drivers with a greener and more efficient transportation option.
Packed with smart features, the BYD SHARK makes driving easier and safer. It comes with a rotating central touchscreen, intelligent voice control, NFC digital key, W-HUD head-up display, and a 540-degree panoramic camera. Additionally, the truck bed includes an external power supply function, making it perfect for outdoor activities and work-related needs.

Juan Pablo Rojas, General Manager of BYD’s Bolivian distributor CROWN, expressed excitement about the new model: “The BYD SHARK is more than just a high-performance pickup; it marks a major step forward for Bolivia’s new energy vehicle market. We believe it will redefine how people see electric commercial vehicles and usher in a new era of sustainable off-road driving.”

To celebrate the launch and promote green mobility, BYD partnered with Expo Auto 2025 organizer Fexpocruz to hold a special giveaway. All ticket holders had the chance to win a BYD DOLPHIN MINI, creating an electrifying atmosphere at the event.
At Expo Auto 2025, BYD reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and expanding its presence in the global new energy vehicle market, showcasing its leadership in sustainable transportation.
