BYD Launches T35 Electric Light Truck in Singapore
BYD has launched its T35 electric light truck in Singapore, marking a further step in expanding its presence across both passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
The T35 is priced at approximately SGD 143,000 (about RMB 770,000), including the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) and applicable government subsidies. The pricing is valid through April 8. The introduction of the model broadens BYD’s electric vehicle portfolio in Singapore and aligns with the city-state’s ambitions to advance sustainable urban mobility.
BYD, among the earliest Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturers to enter the Singapore market, has operated locally for 12 years. The company now offers a comprehensive lineup of new energy vehicles in the country, covering electric taxis, buses, trucks, forklifts, and passenger cars.
In the commercial vehicle segment, BYD has secured more than 500 orders for electric buses in Singapore, accounting for over 60% market share and ranking first in the sector. Its electric heavy trucks have also maintained the leading market position for ten consecutive years. In the passenger vehicle segment, BYD ranked first in Singapore’s car sales for two consecutive years, from 2024 to 2025.

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) enforces some of the world’s most stringent standards for vehicle safety, energy efficiency, and reliability, serving as a benchmark across Southeast Asia. All BYD models have obtained LTA certification, underscoring the company’s product quality and reliability.
The T35 has been specifically engineered to meet Singapore’s operating conditions, including high temperatures, high humidity, dense urban road networks, and frequent stop-and-go traffic. It features optimized battery, motor, and electronic control systems, along with enhanced chassis and power performance. Designed for urban environments, the vehicle offers strong maneuverability on narrow roads and supports a range of applications such as express delivery, urban logistics, and small business transportation, delivering a zero-emission, efficient, and cost-effective solution.

The model is equipped with a 62 kWh Blade Battery and offers a driving range of 367 km under WLTC conditions. It has a curb weight of 1.76 tonnes and a maximum payload of 1.9 tonnes. Prior to its official launch, the T35 had already received multiple expressions of interest from local customers, with positive feedback highlighting its compliance, flexibility, and range stability.

Targeting last-mile delivery scenarios, the T35 expands the range of high-end electric light trucks available in Singapore and strengthens BYD’s commercial vehicle portfolio by addressing short-distance urban logistics needs. The model has previously been introduced in markets including Japan, China, and Mexico.

Looking ahead, BYD said it will continue to leverage its technology capabilities, product reliability, and localized services to support Singapore’s green transport initiatives, while contributing to the broader global transition toward electrification in both commercial and passenger vehicle sectors.
