BYD Unveils 2025 T5 Light Truck Series at Shenzhen Commercial Vehicle Expo
From February 28 to March 3, BYD showcased its upgraded 2025 T5 light truck series at the Shenzhen International Commercial Vehicle Expo. With a focus on "larger battery capacity and higher efficiency," the T5 series highlights BYD's expertise in new energy technology and strong brand presence.

The lineup includes the T5DM hybrid model, T5EV electric model, and a light truck chassis, designed to meet the needs of industries such as retail, fresh e-commerce, and cold chain logistics. Powered by BYD’s in-house battery, motor, and electronic control system, the T5 series is optimized for efficient operation, fast charging, and smart management—ensuring reliable performance for urban and intercity deliveries.

The T5DM hybrid model now features a battery capacity upgrade from 18.3kWh to 55.39kWh. Meanwhile, the T5EV electric model offers four battery options: 82kWh, 90kWh, 100kWh, and 132kWh. With 2C fast-charging technology, models with 100kWh or smaller batteries can charge from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
The T5 series also incorporates advanced safety and smart features. Equipped with BYD’s DiLink system, the truck supports voice control for an easier and safer driving experience. Its high-strength steel frame and low-resistance tires enhance durability while reducing energy consumption by 7%. The innovative BSC braking system improves safety and helps lower insurance costs. The truck also features EPS electronic power steering for effortless handling and an optional VTOL mobile power station with a maximum output of 6kW, providing added versatility.

With its sleek design and comfortable cabin, the T5 series attracted significant attention from visitors at the expo, showcasing BYD’s commitment to commercial vehicle innovation. Moving forward, BYD aims to further enhance its technology and provide smart logistics solutions for urban deliveries worldwide.
