Dech Zhizi Marks First Hydrogen Truck Export to Australia
[Xi’an, China] May 30, 2025 —As a landmark moment for global sustainable transport, Zhizi Auto (Zhizi) today celebrated the official dispatch of its first hydrogen fuel cell PMs to Australia. This pivotal shipment marks the beginning of Zhizi's strategic partnership with KRWHYDRON PTY LTD, aiming to revolutionize the new energy heavy-duty truck market in Australia and New Zealand. This move also signifies a crucial step forward in Zhizi's international expansion strategy.
The dispatch ceremony was attended by key figures including Wang Bin, Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of Zhizi, who delivered a speech. Lv Wenya, Deputy General Manager of Zhizi, handed over the symbolic vehicle key to KRWHYDRON PTY LTD, represented by CEO, Neil Wang and Product Engineer Cui Jinhai (Chris).
Wang Bin emphasized Zhizi's commitment to leading the new energy heavy-duty truck sector through continuous research, development, and innovation. He stated that the first batch of hydrogen fuel cell PMs to Australia demonstrates recognition of Zhizi's products and technology in a mature international market. This milestone will serve as a springboard for Zhizi to gain invaluable overseas market experience and establish a robust sales and service network, laying a solid foundation for future global market expansion.
Zhizi has consistently invested in optimizing its hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck research and development, leading to significant improvements in overall vehicle energy consumption, cruising range, power output, and safety performance. Their products have successfully cleared rigorous market certifications. The delivered vehicles are equipped with an industry-leading 240kW hydrogen fuel cell system and a cutting-edge electric drive axle that breaks a maximum cruising range of 500 kilometers cap. These PMs also feature advanced safety systems such as AEBS, forward collision warning with lane departure warning, driver state monitoring, and a composite air suspension system, making them suitable for a wide array of complex commercial transportation scenarios. All specifications meet or exceed local Australian requirements.
Following the dispatch ceremony, Zhizi and KRWHYDRON PTY LTD held a meeting and signed an intent agreement for export of an additional 20 hydrogen fuel cell PMs. This ongoing collaboration is set to drive the new energy heavy-duty truck market in Australia and New Zealand, contributing a "Chinese solution" and "Zhizi power" to the global energy transition and sustainable, low-carbon development.
