SANY Heavy Truck Secures Safety Certifications from CATARC and TÜV Nord
SANY Heavy Truck has obtained dual functional safety certifications after its safety management system passed the final assessment conducted jointly by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC Huacheng) and Europe’s TÜV Nord. The company received certificates from both organizations, marking a significant step forward in its safety management capabilities.
The dual recognition confirms that SANY’s functional safety processes meet both China’s regulatory requirements and Europe’s stringent international standards. It positions the company among the industry’s leading players in functional safety compliance.

The certifications cover the ISO 26262 and GB/T 34590 standards, which define the full lifecycle of automotive functional safety—from system management to product development. Compliance with these standards demonstrates that SANY has established a comprehensive and robust safety framework across its operations.

TÜV Nord is widely regarded for its strict evaluation procedures in the European market. Achieving certification from the organization indicates that SANY’s vehicle design, manufacturing, and operational safety meet internationally recognized benchmarks for reliability.

Securing both certifications will enhance SANY’s ability to manage safety more efficiently throughout product development and production. It also strengthens the company’s readiness to address safety challenges as the global commercial vehicle industry transitions toward new energy technologies and digitalization.

SANY states that safety remains the foundation of its intelligent and high-quality product strategy. The company plans to continue advancing its safety systems in line with global standards and contribute to raising functional safety levels across the heavy-truck sector.
