SINOTRUK Leads China’s Heavy Truck Exports for 21st Straight Year
JINAN, China — SINOTRUK Group has remained China’s largest heavy truck exporter for the 21st consecutive year, as overseas demand continued to support the company’s growth.
The company expects its heavy truck exports to exceed 150,000 units in 2025, up 11% year on year, Liu Zhengtao, Party secretary and chairman of SINOTRUK Group, said at a media briefing held ahead of the company’s 2026 Partner Conference, which opened On 21st December, 2025 in Jinan.

Exports reached more than 15,000 units in September alone, setting a new industry record for monthly shipments. The previous record was also held by SINOTRUK.

SINOTRUK vehicles are now sold in more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, and the company has accounted for a significant share of China’s total heavy truck exports for more than two decades.

Looking ahead, Liu said 2026 will mark the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, during which the company plans to accelerate its transition toward greener products, digital and intelligent technologies, and higher-end commercial vehicle offerings.

Backed by continued investment in research and development and its internal talent development programs, SINOTRUK aims to build a world-class commercial vehicle group with a full product lineup. By 2030, the company targets total revenue of more than RMB 400 billion and annual vehicle sales exceeding 800,000 units, according to Liu.
Internationally, SINOTRUK will continue to expand across all product categories, including heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, mining trucks, pickup trucks, and special-purpose vehicles. The company is also accelerating the construction of overseas research, manufacturing, and operating centers, while strengthening its aftersales service capabilities in key markets.

SINOTRUK has established localized production, sales, and service networks in multiple overseas markets. The company said this global operating model helps mitigate cyclical fluctuations in China’s domestic market while allowing it to capture growth opportunities abroad.
The group said its heavy truck production and sales exceeded 300,000 units in 2025, ranking first in China’s heavy truck market for the fourth consecutive year. The performance also marked the first time a Chinese brand topped global heavy truck sales by volume.
Liu said the commercial vehicle industry is expected to see steady growth under China’s current economic policy framework, while also entering a period of structural change driven by technological upgrades, shifting market demand, regulatory requirements, and deeper segmentation.
New energy and intelligent technologies will be central to the industry’s next phase, Liu said. Demand for battery-electric and battery-swapping trucks is rising quickly in urban logistics, port transport, and mining operations. In long-haul freight, advances in fast-charging batteries, range-extended hybrid systems, and hydrogen fuel cell technologies, together with improving infrastructure, are expected to open up a market worth trillions of yuan.
He added that companies with strong technology reserves are well positioned to benefit from these changes.
