Sinotruk Caribbean Unit Receives Brand Award from Chinese Embassy in Guyana
Sinotruk’s Caribbean office has received a “Brand Building Award” from the Chinese Embassy in Guyana, recognizing the company’s development in the local market and its role in supporting China-Guyana economic ties.
The award highlights Sinotruk’s continued expansion in Guyana, where it has focused on building brand presence through product quality and after-sales service, according to the company.

Sinotruk has introduced a range of commercial vehicles to the market, including heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks and special-purpose vehicles, targeting demand driven by infrastructure development and growth in the logistics sector.
More than 5,000 Sinotruk vehicles are currently in operation across Guyana, the company said. The trucks are used in sectors such as urban logistics, construction, mining, forestry and port transportation, contributing to local economic activity.
To support its operations, Sinotruk has established a localized sales and service network in the country, including one dealership, four sales outlets, four service stations and a central spare parts warehouse. The company also provides maintenance, training and parts supply through its local service team.
Sinotruk said it has also carried out marketing activities such as roadshows, test drive events and customer engagement programs to increase brand visibility and strengthen relationships with local users.
The company said it plans to expand investment in Guyana, further improve its product offering and service capabilities, and strengthen its position in overseas markets as part of its broader international growth strategy.
