BYD Showcases Green Innovations at SITCE 2024 in Singapore
From November 6 to 8, 2024, the Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE 2024) took place, where BYD, the largest exhibitor, presented a range of new electric products, including the all-new B12DS electric double-decker bus, the T9R electric heavy-duty truck, the Prime Mover electric tractor, and the autonomous driving bus AV.
"We are excited to showcase BYD's latest electric buses and trucks at SITCE 2024," said Tian Chunlong, General Manager of BYD's Commercial Vehicle Division. "We are committed to working with our partners to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable public transportation solutions for local communities."
The B12DS, a new electric double-decker bus designed specifically for Singapore's needs, made its debut at the event. The bus features a 541.9kWh battery, offering a range of up to 350 kilometers. It is 11.9 meters long and can carry up to 120 passengers. The B12DS has a low-floor design with three doors and double stairs, along with high-tech features like an automatic boarding ramp and camera-based rearview mirrors. It uses BYD’s Blade Battery and a newly developed double-decker platform, offering custom solutions for global customers while ensuring safety and energy efficiency to promote green travel.

Additionally, BYD's B12 single-decker electric bus has become an essential part of Singapore's public transport system. In May 2024, BYD won a tender from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for 300 buses, further contributing to Singapore's sustainable transport goals.
At the exhibition, BYD also celebrated the first order of 100 T9R electric heavy-duty trucks with Inchcape, its distributor in Singapore. This is BYD's largest single order for electric heavy-duty trucks in Singapore. The trucks are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2025, supporting Singapore’s Green Plan 2030.

The T9R is BYD’s first electric heavy-duty truck equipped with the Blade Battery. It offers a range of 320 kilometers and excels in safety, reliability, and power, making it ideal for sanitation, construction transport, and urban logistics, helping Singapore create a cleaner and greener future.

Other exhibits, including the Prime Mover electric tractor, autonomous driving bus, and Blade Battery, attracted significant attention from logistics and urban transport professionals due to their high safety, economic efficiency, and advanced technology.

2024 marks BYD’s 10th year in the Singapore market. Since 2014, BYD has been actively involved in the development of green transport in Singapore, achieving broad success. Moving forward, BYD will continue to collaborate with partners to drive the global transformation of logistics and transport towards sustainability, offering innovative and sustainable solutions.
