Foton Brings Electric Sanitation Trucks to IFAT 2026 in Munich
China’s Foton Motor presented its new energy commercial vehicles and BROCK sanitation brand at the 2026 IFAT environmental trade fair in Munich, held from May 4 to May 7, as the company continues its push into international environmental and municipal service markets.
IFAT is one of the largest global trade fairs for environmental technologies and resource management, bringing together equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and industry organizations. This year’s edition focused on water management, recycling, and circular economy solutions, attracting more than 3,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries and regions. Foton returned to the event following its debut in 2024.

At this year’s exhibition, Foton displayed six vehicles across its new energy and sanitation portfolio. The eAumark model features a 100.46kWh battery supplied by CATL, with a claimed driving range of around 180 km, fast-charging capability, and peak output of 150 kW and 560 N·m of torque.

The BROCK range of sweepers combines German-designed engineering with Foton’s electrification systems. The lineup includes multiple models intended for urban cleaning and municipal sanitation applications.
Foton also showcased its CAVAN model, which is equipped with driver assistance and monitoring systems, including a 360-degree camera, driver status monitoring, electronic parking brake, and dual digital displays.

The company said its business now spans vehicles and mobility equipment, components, digital technologies, and related services, with operations in more than 140 countries and regions. In Europe, Foton reported a 94% year-on-year increase in orders in the first quarter of 2026, with its trucks increasingly entering mainstream logistics and transport applications.
Foton’s presence at IFAT reflects growing competition among global manufacturers in the environmental equipment sector, as companies adapt products for electrified and low-emission urban service fleets. The company has positioned its sanitation solutions as combining European engineering practices with Chinese manufacturing and system integration.
Foton said it will continue to focus on international environmental markets and the development of low-emission commercial vehicle technologies.
