Dongfeng Huashen Ships First 100 V5 Tractor Trucks to Saudi Arabia
On June 16, 2026, Dongfeng Huashen held a ceremony in Shiyan marking the shipment of its first batch of 100 V5 tractor trucks to Saudi Arabia. Following the dispatch order, the vehicles officially departed for overseas markets, representing Dongfeng Huashen’s first entry into the Saudi Arabian market. The shipment also marks the practical implementation of the strategic cooperation between Dongfeng Huashen, Dongfeng Import & Export Company, and Xiamen Xiangyu Automobile Co., Ltd.
The exported model, the V5 tractor truck, is designed for logistics operations in Saudi Arabia. Given the extreme heat and heavy-duty operating conditions in the Middle East, the vehicle has been adapted in terms of power performance, durability, and fuel efficiency. It is intended for applications including mining transport, long-haul freight, and other key logistics scenarios in the local market.

Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” continues to advance, driving rapid infrastructure development, energy transition, and logistics upgrades. These trends are generating rising demand for commercial vehicles. The Middle East has therefore become an increasingly important strategic market for Chinese commercial vehicle exports. The project also forms part of cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Since the project launch at the end of 2025, the three parties have worked closely on market research, product definition, solution development, and delivery preparation, ensuring the successful production and shipment of the first batch of 100 vehicles as scheduled.

From January to May 2026, Dongfeng Huashen recorded total sales of 9,826 units, up 10% year-on-year. Overseas sales reached 709 units, up 300% year-on-year, reflecting strong growth momentum in international markets and continuous progress in product and channel development.

Looking ahead, the three parties will further deepen cooperation. Planned initiatives include establishing a fast-response system for export orders, optimizing product solutions for mining transport and cold-chain logistics, strengthening overseas spare parts supply and technical support, and improving information sharing to enhance market responsiveness. Together, they aim to expand into the Middle East and other international markets.
The company said the shipment marks an important starting point for Dongfeng Huashen in the Middle East market. Going forward, it will continue to strengthen product localization and full life-cycle service capabilities, enhance overseas competitiveness, ensure the achievement of annual business targets, and further expand its global market presence.
