JMC Strengthens Presence in Peru with Executive Visit
JMC is strengthening its presence in Peru as the Chinese automaker continues to expand its business in the South American market.
From August 13 to 14, Xiong Chunying, President of Jiangling Motors Corporation, led a delegation to Peru to review JMC’s local operations and meet with its local partner. The visit focused on sales performance, market development and plans for further growth.
JMC Sales Rise 60.8% in Peru
On August 13, the delegation visited the local dealer’s headquarters and JMC showroom to review brand operations, vehicle sales and customer feedback.

JMC has been working with its Peruvian partner to expand its product lineup and sales and service network. The efforts have helped the brand strengthen its position in the local market.
From January to July 2026, JMC sales in Peru increased 60.8% year on year. Pickup sales rose 52%, while light truck sales increased 62%.

JMC ranked among the top three Chinese brands in both the pickup and light truck segments in Peru. Its position has strengthened further in recent months. Over the past two months, JMC’s market share in both segments has risen to second among Chinese brands, supported by the arrival and launch of the New Vigus Plus.
During the meeting, JMC and its local partner discussed product planning, product positioning, dealer network expansion and brand promotion. The two sides also discussed future cooperation in the Peruvian market.
Xiong Chunying said JMC will continue to work closely with its local partners and adapt its products and services to local market needs. The company plans to further improve its competitiveness and support the long-term growth of the JMC brand in Peru.
New Showroom Expands JMC Network in Lima
On August 14, the delegation attended the opening of the new JMC Satelital Surquillo showroom in Lima.

Located in one of the capital’s main automotive areas, the showroom is JMC’s 13th in Lima. It combines vehicle displays, customer experiences and test drives, sales and delivery, and after-sales services under one roof.
The new facility expands JMC’s sales and service network in Peru and gives local customers easier access to its vehicles and after-sales support.
The opening also reflects the local partner’s continued investment in the JMC brand and its plans to further develop the Peruvian market.

JMC Builds Brand Awareness Through Off-Road Experiences
The delegation also visited the JMC ARENA off-road test facility on August 14. The group reviewed the facility’s operations and tested JMC pickups on the off-road course.
JMC has also participated in events such as the Inca Trail Rally and developed off-road driving experiences for local customers. These activities allow drivers to experience the performance of JMC pickups in demanding road conditions while helping the brand build greater visibility in Peru.
JMC said it will continue to invest in the Peruvian market with products and services tailored to local customer needs. Together with its local partners, the company aims to strengthen its sales and service network and support the long-term growth of the JMC brand in Peru.
