Shanxi Victory Auto Ships First 500 Commercial Vehicles to Syria
Shanxi Victory Auto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has signed an annual purchase agreement with a Syrian customer for 5,000 ZEBRA series commercial vehicles.
The first 500 vehicles from an initial order of 1,100 units have passed quality inspections and have been shipped to Syria.
The shipment marks the entry of Victory Auto’s commercial vehicles into the Syrian market and another step in the company’s expansion in the Middle East.
The deal was supported by the Changzhi Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Last year, the council identified demand from a Syrian customer through its international contacts at the Chengdu Food and Beverage Fair. It then introduced Victory Auto’s Xingma T3E new energy logistics vehicle to the customer.
The council also worked with the China International Exhibition Center Group under the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Chamber of International Commerce and the Shanxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade to help connect the two sides and support the cooperation.
In January this year, the Syrian customer visited Changzhi to inspect Victory Auto’s facilities and discuss the project. On April 6, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

Under the agreement, the Syrian partner will use its local network to build a service system covering vehicle sales, maintenance and technical support. The system will provide local customers with both vehicle sales and after-sales services.
To meet local operating conditions, including high temperatures, heavy dust and challenging road conditions, Victory Auto has made specific improvements to the vehicle chassis, dust and corrosion protection, and powertrain.
These changes are designed to make the vehicles better suited to freight transport and material delivery in both urban and rural areas.
Victory Auto has been expanding its new energy commercial vehicle business in recent years. The Syrian order gives the company a new opportunity to grow its overseas business and further expand the presence of Changzhi-made commercial vehicles in international markets.
The remaining 600 vehicles from the initial 1,100-unit order are now in production and will be delivered to the Syrian customer in batches.
