Date:2026-09-15 Author:Mia Source:www.chinatrucks.org

Hande Axle is showcasing its latest electric and conventional axle technologies at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany.

The show opened on September 14 and has brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries. As commercial vehicles move toward electrification and lower emissions, key components such as drive axles are also becoming increasingly important.

Hande Axle, a Chinese commercial vehicle axle manufacturer, is displaying six products at the show. The lineup covers electric axles for heavy- and light-duty trucks, an electric trailer axle, a conventional drive axle and an axle for special-purpose construction equipment.

Founded in 1968, Hande Axle has a complete R&D and testing system, including a CNAS-certified laboratory. The company has an annual production capacity of 1.5 million axles and has produced and sold more than 10 million axles in total.

Hande Axle has ranked first in China in axle sales for ten consecutive years and third globally. Its products are sold in more than 20 countries and regions.

In the first half of 2026, Hande Axle's axle assembly production and sales increased 17% year on year. Sales of electric drive axles increased 45%. The company says its share of China's electric heavy-duty truck axle market has exceeded 70%, with cumulative sales of more than 250,000 units. Overseas exports also increased 26% during the period.

At IAA, the company is presenting technologies for both new-energy and conventional commercial vehicles, covering different applications from heavy-duty trucks to construction equipment.

Six Axle Products for Different Applications

Three-Speed Electric Axle with Two Oil-Cooled Motors

This heavy-duty electric axle uses two motors and can switch between single- and dual-motor operation according to driving conditions.

It delivers a maximum torque of 59,300 Nm while balancing power and energy efficiency.

The axle uses a SiC controller and oil-cooled hairpin motors. Its compact design allows it to fit narrow chassis and is mainly designed for 4x2 electric tractor trucks.

Two-Speed Oil-Cooled Electric Axle

This heavy-duty electric axle has a maximum motor speed of 20,000 rpm and weighs 786 kg.

It delivers up to 40,900 Nm of torque and uses active lubrication across the axle system to help reduce losses and maintenance needs.

The axle is designed for 6x4 electric tractor trucks.

Two-Speed Oil-Cooled Electric Trailer Axle

The electric trailer axle uses a simple and reliable design.

It is designed to support longer operating range and requires little maintenance, providing an electric drive solution for new-energy trailers.

Oil-Cooled Electric Axle for Light-Duty Trucks

The light-duty electric axle integrates the motor and electronic control system.

It weighs just 342 kg and reduces overall weight by 50 kg. The axle is designed for new-energy light-duty trucks.

H-Series Fuel-Efficient Drive Axle

The H-Series axle is designed for conventional heavy-duty trucks used in long-distance logistics.

It offers a transmission efficiency of more than 98.9%, with an oil-change interval of up to 1 million kilometers.

Its B10 service life can reach 1.8 million kilometers.

8-Ton Telescopic Handler Axle

This axle is designed for telescopic handlers used in construction and other special applications.

It focuses on high load capacity and durability, with key components supplied by leading international brands.

Expanding into Global Markets

As commercial vehicles around the world move toward electrification and lower emissions, demand for high-quality commercial vehicle components is also growing in overseas markets.

Hande Axle says it will continue to develop products for different powertrains and applications while expanding its presence in international markets.

The company's products focus on reliability, lightweight design, high efficiency, longer oil-change intervals, low maintenance requirements, low noise and intelligent functions.

Through IAA Transportation 2026, Hande Axle aims to strengthen cooperation with global vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers and industry partners.

The company also plans to continue expanding its technology, products and services globally and provide integrated drivetrain solutions for commercial vehicle customers.
