BYD Launches T4 Electric Truck with 91 kWh Battery and Range of Over 330 km
BYD launched the T4-91kWh all-electric truck in Chongqing, China, on October 16, 2026. The new model is designed for urban deliveries, regional transport and short-distance intercity logistics.

The T4-91kWh focuses on two key needs for logistics operators: longer driving range and greater load capacity. With a 91 kWh battery and a heavy-duty chassis, it aims to help operators improve efficiency across a range of transport tasks.
More Than 330 km Range and Fast Charging
The T4-91kWh is equipped with a 91 kWh BYD Blade Battery. Its range exceeds 330 km under the CHTC test cycle with a full load of 4.5 tonnes.

The truck supports 2C fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes. This helps reduce charging downtime and improve vehicle utilization.
Light-Duty Truck Chassis and 150 kW Motor
The truck uses a light-duty truck chassis with a 1.8-ton front axle and a 3.5-ton rear axle. It can accommodate a cargo box with a maximum volume of 18.3 m³, making it suitable for transporting bulky goods and heavy loads.
Its electric motor delivers a peak power of 150 kW, providing the power needed for starting with a full load and climbing hills under heavy loads.
75 Units Ordered at Launch Event
Customers signed orders for 75 units of the T4-91kWh at the launch event in Chongqing.

The city’s hilly terrain and steep roads place high demands on vehicle power, load capacity and driving range. These conditions make Chongqing a relevant market for evaluating the truck’s performance in demanding transport operations.
The launch expands BYD Commercial Vehicles’ electric truck lineup and reflects its focus on developing vehicles for specific transport needs. The company aims to help logistics operators improve efficiency and reduce operating costs while supporting the shift to electric commercial vehicles.
