Challenge Bibendum returns to Shanghai in Mid. Nov.
Challenge Bibendum is going to take place in Shanghai during November 14 and 17. This year's activities will promise to be even bigger, better, and greener. The participants will range from the biggest car makers to fuel cell and battery developers. Even some of the major energy suppliers like Shell, Chevron Texaco, BP, Japan Air Gases, Linde, Petrobras, Primagaz, Sekab promise to make the show.
In 2004 the activity was held in Shanghai and Kyoto in 2005 and Paris in 2006, and this time it returns to Shanghai. Challenge Bibendum 2007 will take place in two main venues:From November 14 to 16, at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center (SAEC), part of the Shanghai International Automobile City (SIAC), located in Anting, 40 km west of downtown Shanghai. On November 17, in the Pudong district of Shanghai, where the final conferences and closing ceremony will be held in the Shanghai International Convention Center.
At that time, automobile manufacturers, energy companies, researchers and developers from all over the world will come to Shanghai to discuss what needs to be done in order to make automobiles that are more environmentally friendly. The Challenge Bibendum that started in 1998 was created by Michelin in search of cleaner emissions from vehicles, as well as cleaner and improved performance of the car, which does include fuel efficiency. With the rising cost of gasoline automobile manufacturers will certainly have a large interest in the Challenge Bibendum. Michelin is after a more sustainable road mobility performance car and that is exactly what manufacturers and developers will offer.
With higher gasoline prices & more worry about global warming, Challenge Bibendum will truly make people become more interested in what developers are brainstorming when it comes to making better, cleaner, and more efficient automobiles.
