Dongfeng & FAW sales data in first 5 months

By the end of May 2008, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle company has produced 104,715 units complete vehicles increased by 26.12% y-o-y and has sold 107,501 units increased 44.19%, which means that they have completed 57.36% of their annual sales target. Heavy duty vehicle sales volume reached 60,213 units increased by 76.9%Medium heavy vehicle sales volume was 24,143 units increased 8.98% and bus sales volume was 9,465 units increased 20.65%.

While another major China truck maker FAW group has sold 140,034 units in May 2008 which surpassed planned sales target by 5,034 units of which there were 23,490 units medium heavy duty trucks increased by 38.3% and light vehicle sales volume was 4,522 decreased by 28.5%. In the first 5 months of 2008, FAW group has sold 739,183 units vehicles which surpassed that of 2007 by 45,023 units of which medium heavy duty truck sales volume was 100,159 units increased by 32.3% and light truck sales volume was 33,543 units increased by 0.2% y-o-y.
