Foton "get married" with Daimler Chrysler

After five years negotiation, foton and Daimler Chrysler finally come to agreement on August 8 and jointly announced global cooperation letter of intent, the two sides will set up heavy truck joint venture enterprise, to build Foton Auman heavy truck brand by introducing Mercedes heavy truck technology and engine.

In accordance with letter of intent, both sides agree to set up 50-50% shareholding joint venture enterprise and produce by applying medium and heavy truck technique. New company will build Foton Auman brand and produce Mercedes heavy truck engine independently, it’s the first time achieve world-renowned Mercedes-Benz engine china made, this heavy truck engine om457 emission and power respectively reach Europe Ⅴand 460 hp, production site will be located in Auman heavy-duty truck factory, where east youth road huai rou district Beijing city.
