Beiqi Foton to launch all-electric car in H1

Chinese truck maker Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd will roll out an all-electric car in the first half of this year, xinhuanet.com said, citing sources from the company.
A new model of the all-electric car will be produced by Foton Motor in March or April this year, the sources said to reporters.
All-electric vehicles are powered by batteries but not fuel engines, so it's not quite easy to develop as the existing cars are all designed according to demands of fuel-powered models, Foton vice general manager Wu Xuebin said.
