Dongfeng vehicles roll into Malaysian market
Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor has made its foray into the Malaysian market with two new models - the Bison 260 and Kinland 420, xinhuanet.com reported today.
The two models are locally assembled in Kulim and distributed by Quasar Industrial Vehicles. They were launched by Malaysian Transport Minister in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. There are already 24 units of the new Dongfeng commercial vehicles in the Malaysian market and the response thus far has been very encouraging.
Dongfeng Bison 260, with engine technology from the U.S., would be priced at RM138,000 ($37,850) while Dongfeng Kinland, with engine technology from France, at between RM280,000 and RM300,000.
