Dongfeng makes its 1 millionth light commercial vehicle

(chinatrucks.com, September 22, 2009)Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd.'s one millionth light commercial vehicle, Dongfeng Kangba rolled off the production line September 20.

Kangba is the third generation of Dongfeng’s self-developed light commercial vehicles.

Zhu Fushou, general manager of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. said the company's 2009 sales will be more than 200,000 units. Last year, Dongfeng sold about 170,000 units.

Xinhua reported that Dongfeng plans to sell over 300,000 units and 300,000 engines every year till 2012, and make sales income of 30 billion yuan in the same year.
