Dongfeng September sales soar 72%

(chinatrucks.com, Oct. 14, 2009)Dongfeng Motor, China's third largest automaker and local JV partner of Honda, Nissan and PSA, on Tuesday said its vehicle sales in September rose 72% year on year to 147,271 units.

Passenger car sales surged 61% to 108,115 units and commercials soared 112.1% to 39,156.

Nissan JV car sales rose 71.5% to 108,115, PSA model volume was up 70.5% to 27,473 and Honda sales were up 49.5% to 21,516.

Year to date, passenger car sales were up 37.83% to 743,495 units while commercials were off 5.39% to 260,502.
