450 meters assembly line in Sinotruk Jinan production base
(chinatrucks.com, Nov. 12, 2009)Arranged by Jinan Truck Organizing Committee, our reporters visited the new production base of China Heavy Duty Truck in Jinan Zhangqiu Commercial Vehicle Company on November 4.
It is reported that Sinotruk Jinan Commercial Vehicle Company moved the eastern part of Jinan city, Zhangqiu, in 2007; Total area of the plant is 460,000 square meters, with a total investment of 800 million Yuan. Our reporter also learned that the length of the assembly line here up to 450 m, and there're 32 stations distributed the entire line, each station has a group of workers on the job with orderly manner.
Yang Jianping, executive secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan Commercial Vehicle Company proudly told reporter that it is the longest assembly line in Asia, the assembly frequency of this assembly line is 5 minutes / station, which was improved third times comparing to the original frequency. And he said under full load conditions, the capable of this assembly line is 90 units a day.
